Hugh Humphrey

Hugh Humphrey, an extremely electrifying and talented percussionist was born in Trinidad where he gained much of his drumming experience. Now living and basing himself in San Francisco, Hugh travels the world with his group JOUVERT promoting the music of Trinidad and African combination. His talents have led him to open for or perform with Harry Bellefonte, Black Eye Peas, Super Blue and Sparrow.

You can usually find Hugh and the gang currently teaching every Friday at Cubberley Center in Palo-Alto, CA (Drum Class) or teaching a steel band program for kids at San Antonio Park in Oakland, CA, Mon-Thurs.
