Johnny Kalsi

Master Drummer for the Dhol Foundation has been drumming for over 26 years and has performed and toured with the legendary Led Zeppelin, Peter Gabriel and has supported Dave Mathews. He is the lead percussionist for the Grammy Nominated Afro Celt Sound System and has his own Drumming troupe.

The Dhol Foundation has toured with WOMAD since 1995 and began doing workshops and small events around UK. Today Johnny does master classes all over the World and TDF now headliners of major festivals.

Collaborations include the Masterful Ustad Nusarat Fathe Ali Khan to Avril Lavigne. "Big Drum Small World" was their first album and the last track "Drummers Reel" made the smash hit film, "Gangs of New York". The third album is in the making and like the previous two it's sure to be just as exciting.
